The RVMH Hall of Fame Museum
Everyone enjoys looking at vintage cars, boats, airplanes and yes….. RVs. And there’s no better place to step back in time and see what early American RVing was like than this week’s RV destination, the RVMH Hall of Fame Museum in Elkhart, Indiana.
Here you’ll find one of the largest collections of vintage motorhomes and trailers dating back as far as 1913. To tour the museum you follow the ‘road back in time’ as it winds through all the various exhibits in what are virtually, period-correct settings. You can also check out some of the industry’s latest RVs in a special room dedicated to the newest RVs on the market.
Along with the actual museum area itself, the facility also houses a great library full of vintage RV publications and industry material. When you’re tired of walking around, you can visit the museum theater and enjoy some entertaining and informative video presentations.
Winnebago Travato Class B
Also on this week’s show, Class B RVs are one of the fastest growing markets in the motorized category and Jeff Johnston takes out a new Winnebago Travato Class B for an extended weekend camping trip and review.
In short, Jeff was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and spacious this size RV can be. And, when you tie that into how easy a Class B is to maneuver in traffic and to park, it’s easy to see why the Class B market is growing so quickly.
Prepping your Trailer for Hot Weather
Then, with summer quickly upon us, Mark and Dawn Polk from RV Education 101, show us what you should do to prepare your motorhome or trailer for hot weather operation.
The last thing you need is to have a problem due to hot weather that cuts your summer adventure short because you didn’t check something.
