Meet Joe and Kait of We’re the Russos!

Joe and Kait:  This week, we're going to be moving into and testing the Storyteller Overland Mode 4x4 prototype by taking it from California to Utah with Charlie the yellow lab.

We've got a lot of underbed storage, so there's plenty of room for all of our stuff, which is awesome.  There's a nice hook in the back to hang our jackets. I made a little curtain for us for the daytime. The Mode does come with its own portapotty, which is right here.

Now, we just have to get Charlie in here and hit the road. Charlie is my mom's yellow lab. And we're really excited about having a dog with us again.

I think it's tough for dogs because there are rattles, and it's an unfamiliar space, and it takes a little getting used to. It's not the same as a car.

Kait and I have always wanted to see what is off of Zzyzx Road off the 15 on your way from Los Angeles to Vegas. It's one of those roads that's just a funny sign, so we figured we might as well get off and explore.

Next time, we take the Mode 4x4 on one of our favorite off-road trails in Utah. Thank you for watching, and we'll see you on the road.

We are excited to test out this prototype for Storyteller Overland and give them real life feedback on what we think. Follow along as we put the camper to the test and share the adventures along the way.

Are you also shopping for an RV? In my first book, Take Risks: One Couple’s Journey to Quit Their Jobs and Hit the Open Road, I share practical insights on the RV shopping and buying process to help you with your shopping journey. You can also find additional RV Living resources on our website.

See you on the road!

Joe Russo

Joe and Kait started sharing their experiences from the road and the process of transitioning to a nomadic lifestyle to help inspire others to live the life they want. You can find all the content created by Joe and Kait on their website including Joe’s books, Take Risks and Tales From the Open Road, chronicling their journey from leaving the rat race to living life on their own terms and Tales from the Open Road.

In 2017, Joe and Kait downsized to a Class B camper van so they could explore places that they could only dream of going in their Class A motorhome. Since then, they’ve been living the “Van Life” and enjoying the freedom that a small RV offers.

Find out what we found on our little jaunt off the highway - watch the show!

You'll be seeing lots more of the Russos here on Rollin' On TV. Plus you can watch more of WereTheRussos right here.
