Snowbirders find Tucson Perfect!

This is the time of year that many RVers head to warmer weather. This week we join Evanne Schmarder in Tucson... and what a great place to start - at the Tucson Visitors Bureau with Dan Gibson, Director of Communications for 'Visit Tucson'.  There is plenty to do and see in Tucson and Dan tells us how this really is a favorite place for snowbirders between January and April.

Considered one of the best destinations is the Sonoran Desert Museum which has a zoo with animals of the area as well as an aquarium.

For a hidden gem, Dan says don't miss the San Xavier Mission. Built in 1500's it is still an operating church with a wide range of native American culture  unlike anything else in America.

There is so much to do here. In January, we have the gem show, soccer, golf tournament, festival of books, or you can just lay back and enjoy!

Evanne tells about Voyager RV Resort, the Lazydays KOA and the Pima County Fairgrounds.. all different so you can find your perfect RV spot!

Tucson is home to the Saguaro cactus, protected by two national parks that offer hiking, loop drives and much more. These cacti grow nowhere else in the world but here in this Sonoran Desert.

Enjoy the Mission in the Sun showcasing DeGrazios artist, impressionist paintings. In addition, don't miss Biosphere 2 is another must see if you enjoy science.

Tucson is reinventing itself as a foody destination. Yvonne shares her favorite food destinations!
