Lakewood Campground – Myrtle Beach, NC

This family owned ocean-front campground was built in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1959.  At 19 years old, Don suggested to his dad that they build a campground. The state park was overflowing. So, they were the first campground in Myrtle Beach of its kind as it offered electric and water at the sites. Now Lakewood Camping Resort has about 1900 sites of all types and offers water parks, entertainment, miniature golf, paddle boats on their pond, and all kinds of wonderful amenities as well as a lot of ocean front to enjoy.

Rotten Floor Replacement – RV Straight Talk

“We’re a bit upset about our 2014 trailer. It was a higher-end product and we expected higher-end quality. Recently we noticed the floor in front of our kitchen sink is spongy, it feels soft when we walk on it. Our dealer service guys tell us the wood floor is rotting under the vinyl flooring and needs to be replaced. They said they couldn’t do the job and that we’d need to find a specialized repair shop that can do this kind of thing. So we asked around, found a shop, and they quoted us a price that was about 25% of the cost of the whole trailer! Unbelievable! Is this normal for this kind of repair? We’re really disappointed in how this has gone with this trailer, a roof leak and the bad floor. – Frank DeLeon”
