Hi, I’m Jeff Johnston for “Rollin’ on TV.” You know, RVers really enjoy decorating their vehicles in different ways so they don’t look like any other on the road. For example, we decided to go with the full-body wrap on the side of our Palomino camper, but that left the back as a blank canvas, still white. We decided to go with an old-school type of decoration with just pinstriping, and there’s no better source for pinstriping than Herb Martinez, “The Line Doctor.”
The Thom Thumb vintage trailer is unlike any new RV you’ve ever seen. Thom Underwood: Thom Thumb Trailers is an idea I had to recreate the old-style trailers, only for someone to be able to have the old trailer, but have a brand new trailer at the same time.
This week, Jeff Johnston revisits our friends over at Flyte Camp Vintage Trailer Restorations
There’s a trend that’s been going on for some time now, but for a while it sort of flew under the radar. It’s called the “retro look”. Now it’s no longer flying under the radar but front and center in just about anything you see these days, including RVs.
What fun this segment was to produce! Randy Grubb, of Grant’s Pass, Oregon, is an automotive artist who obviously loves his ‘work’! He designed and created the Decoliner which we cover here.
Little Guy International and their Serro Scotty Travel Trailer – Review by Jeff Johnston of Rollin’ On TV
Thom has always been into classic and vintage car restoration and it was when he decided he wanted a vintage travel trailer that things started getting interesting.
One other thing that I wanted to mention too is about two years ago, we came up with an idea to create an authentic vintage style brand new travel trailer. We had seen a lot of re-pops out there, and you know, the craftsmanship we wanted to make sure was 100% in there and they were built just like they were in the 40s and 50s. So I decided to design my own–my own trailer called the Neutron.
