RV Pro

Jeff Johnston

Jeff began his automotive journalism career back in the late ‘70s as an Oregon-based photographer/writer freelancer, then started his first staff job at Truckin’ Magazine in 1982. Subsequent jobs at Four Wheeler magazine and a long stint as Technical Editor for Trailer Life magazine and MotorHome magazine are the basis for his 35-plus years of RV experience.

His film work started back in junior high school and continues, for the last 10 years, as a producer and contributor for Rollin’ On TV.

New RV road test reports, technical product and how-to features are among his specialties, all created from a real-world user perspective. He and his wife Pam continue to enjoy their love of camping and RV travel adventures as well as pursuing their interests in the model railroading hobby.

In 2015 Jeff was honored with the RVIA Award for Distinguished Achievement in RV Journalism. The Distinguished Achievement in RV Journalism Award is presented to journalists for exemplary coverage of the RV industry or RV travel.
